Davis® Method Programs
We support Davis programs because they reach the cause of the challenges, and support the individual’s innate learning style. If you remove the reason for the challenge, the challenge ceases to exist and the symptoms fall away. They ensure that students returning to school have the tools, the firm foundations and exercises to feel NeuroInclusive as we wait for the necessary changes in the education system.
The Davis® Dyslexia Correction Program (now known Davis® Mastery for Dyslexia) was the first to be developed by Ronald Dell Davis from independent experimentation and research, beginning in the early 1980's. Davis, who was himself severely dyslexic, had discovered a simple mental technique that radically improved his ability to focus on print. Through clinical experience working with dyslexic adults and children, Davis and his colleagues improved and refined the methods over time. In 1994, after working with more than 1,000 clients, Davis published the first edition of The Gift of Dyslexia, detailing his methods and the theory behind them. Since that time, hundreds of professionals have received advanced training in Davis methods and worked with thousands of clients.
Since then, a Davis® Mastery for Math, a Davis® Foundations for Reading and a Davis® Mastery for Attention program have been added. Finally, Ron created an in-depth and ground-breaking approach to empower individuals with autism, and provide the understanding and tools needed to achieve their full potential. The Davis Autism Approach® is uniquely geared to the autistic perspective, and enables each person to make sense of their world and the motivations and behaviors of those around them.
