OUTREACH
Our goal of NEUROINICLUSIVITY is getting closer!
We were awarded a grant from Telus STORYHIVE to create a documentary… ‘WHO KNEW Dyslexia is a Way of Thinking’… it is submitted and will be premiered in Sidney, BC on March 9, 2025. The Director, Kelly Conlin is entering it for Film Festivals, after which it will be on general release. We aim to reach teachers in training all over Canada… we have a list!
Sue is so excited to receive her first Keynote Speaker request and is looking forward to reaching an even greater audience at the Edmonton Family Literacy Conference in October.
We have been contacted by the Early Childhood Educators at Capilano University. Sue and Julie hope to share our information with the Faculty in May.
The reason for the WHO KNEW documentary title is because no-one knows why dyslexia occurs… it is purely the result of a way of thinking meeting our current education system. There is no learning disability! So please help us spread this information... book an information session for your school or workplace… see HERE. Maybe your school would like a Professional Development Day presentation… see HERE. If you know of any parent groups or organisations that could benefit from knowing more about our learning style, we would love to hear from you: email us at info@thewds.org.
Sue Blyth Hall’s TEDx is over the 11K mark! This is good news for one-third of the population who needs an improved understanding and awareness of their learning style. They are falsely labelled ‘learning disabled’ when in fact they simply learn in a different way from the way they are taught. If you enjoy the talk please comment, like, share as this keeps us closer to the top of the list, thank you!

Talks/ProD
days
We enjoy providing information sessions and are so grateful to the schools, school districts, and Universities that have asked us to present Professional Development Day sessions to their staff. The overwhelming reaction from the teachers is “I had no idea they (the children) could think like that !” We look forward to continuing to enlighten … and even better to bring about lasting changes to benefit the students.
